I'm Making these

Lovely Rag quilts throws...

My best friend (Bette) taught me how to make these adorable throws after she had givin me one...This was the first time I used my sewing machine that was my birthday present March,2008

These Rag quilts are made for adults,children's and for baby blankets...

One of my girlfriends wants 3 twin size blankets made by Christmas, but she still needs more fabric to make each one...

This is the first one I made...






Aubriana was soooo very excited to get her throw...It was kinda like Linus from Charlie Brown...if Linus is the one that carries his blankie around that is...she didn't go anywhere without her blankie....except when it was in her mothers landry...lols




















I made this one for Katin my second granddaughter...I had just gotten done when they called and told me to get back to the hospital fast and Katlin was born 6mins later...they wrapped her in it when she was ready...It measures 40x40in washed...

I made this one for my husbands(Martin's)birthday it's 80x80in....

It didn't show the yellow in Martin's throw, I still need help with taking pic's...

One of my girlfriends(Wanda)bought her own fabric and I put it together it measures 70x80in...
If people buy thier own fabric the price to put them together are cheaper...

This Baby blanket measures 25.5x33in not washed yet...

I think I'm going to make this one a bit larger...

These two childs throws are 50x60in not washed...

The wind kept blowing in bewteen photo shots...

These two are just a perfect throw for me...

I've got many more to make...Learning how to quilt blankets next, by watching YouTube...How crazy is that gigles

Adrienne's blog Challenge

Here is the card I made for Adrienne's Challenge...She has a huge and I mean Huge first place prize pack for the 1st place winner...second and third gets $30.00 worth of MSE stamps how cool is that...I think I going to start HeroArts weekly challenges...I feel like i'm ready to enter challenges...CPS also has weekly challenges as does Page Maps...WOW! lots and lots of challenges....

I embossed the brad and stamp images...machine stitched...I think I did a ok job...lets see if I win...

It's been a very long time since posting

I need to update some pics. Katlin is now 7months old and Aubriana has sooooo much character. She loves Katlin so very much...

Katlin really doesn't like the camera, but I was able to pull off a few good ones...


Aubriana and her grumpy swam the first time at our neighborhood pool. She is such a water dog...she will be swimming by herself by the end of this year...fingers crossed lols...


I was shocked when my cats wanted to be by my grand babies...Bello is by Katlin and KI_KI is next to Aubriana...I love this pic...




Like I said before Katlin really doesn't like the camera, but I'm learning ways to pull out some great pics...In my eyes anyway...


Mom I'm going to pull the blankets I'm making soon...

Petti Jean / Sun setting

Oh My GOD...I had taken these awesome pic's when my husband and I went to Petti Jean mtn...this past weekend...I felt soooo close to God being there on the cliff and taking the most gorgeous pic's....I've ever taken of the sun setting....
of course I have a newer camera that takes better pic's...
I've had to say no to my children using this one camera...due to them breaking my other's...

The sun seemed to have set really fast...I had to delete a few pic's that where to blurry to see...and I'm sure that they would have been great pic's also....Most important thing is...I have several that did turn out good...

Today is a new day

I'm doing better mentally, but not physically. I've become disabled and it takes allot of work just getting around. I'm starting pool and message therapy tomorrow.
Woo-Hoo...hope to lose some of the weight to, I've gained seventy pounds as I can't hardly move without major pain. I dealing with 9-10 levels daily. The next step is the permanent pain pump.
I'm starting to listen to my sponsor and tiring to connect with GOD again at the personal level I had before surgery. I was asking that he help others while demanding that god heal me NOW. I stopped telling him THANK YOU each night. I'm surprised that I didn't start using my pills to relive the emotional pain. I would have lost 14 years of hard work.

Well it's been awhile...

I've not been motivated to do anything lately. My weight is really getting to me. Before my surgery 12-06 i fluctuated between in the 120's and now that I'm disabled I now weight in the 190's and climbing...Is there a diet out there wo/exorcising?

Summer Lay-Outs

How are my two newest pages I've done for summer challenges....

I wanted to get these back out a get some stitching on them....

I may still do that this week, but I'm working on a few challenges for another forum...and a couple of blog challenges....

Martin(Grumpy) and Aubriana(granddaughter) have such an awesome and close relationship. I love to watching them together.

This smaller lo is because is Aubriana and I. The pics show my weight gain...yikes...

1. my computer and printer. Yep, I consider these crafting tools. ;) I use them to edit and print all of my photos and most of my journaling2. my paper trimmer. I have a guillotine trimmer and am in love with it.3. ruler and pencil. Necessities.4. micro-tip scissors. What an awesome tool. I don't know how I ever lived without them.5. paper piercer. I love to hand sew on my projects and this makes things much easier.

My five picks...
1. my printer and computer would have to be the most important
(working on getting an Epson1900)..... I currently have an Epson RX680 Photo AIO....
2. my paper trimmers...if i didn't have one of these...yecky..I can't cut free hand...
3. The craftersworkshop, Bazill basics stencils in general....I love theses....
4. paper piecer...I to like hand sewing...
5. Zyron #9 and others...just love these guys...can't live without any of these guys....

As Aubriana got use to the water. She had become dearing....she would want to get out....then run to the deep end and want to jump in.....lucky me that can't do much....I taught her not to do that because it was dangerous.....she then did it only by Brittany....

My first quilt

My best friend showed me how to use my new sewing machine, and then taught me how to make my first quilt. Aubriana loves this blankie with al her heart. She points to the doggies and kitty's....she just plays and plays on her blankie.

Summer Sweet

I really love summer....pools, lakes and family. Maybe some days when the heat is well above 100 degrees I don't like it as much. We took my granddaughter to the pool on fathers day. Her first time this year as she is only 18 months. She loved every moment. She was so worn out and falling asleep, but she didn't want to leave. I can't wait until our next day out it will be summer sweet.
Bare with me as I'm learning how to work this blog stuff.

I had a nother fun filled weekend with my granddaughter. I can't wait till November when my second grand child will be here...I just love to spoil her. It's soooo cute...anyway....I'm pooped...More until next time....

It's been awhile

I'm not much of a blogger. Still getting used to it. My son said it will come with time. We should only hope. it's 1am and I can't sleep due to pain levels being really high. I can't stand the amount of physcial pain I'm in most of the time....Well until I feel the urge to write again...
